A Menstrual Hygiene Day Program Held In Tole Camp Of The Buea Subdivision Cameroon in Collaboration With Another NGO

Together the team visited a Vulnerable community in Tole Camp found in the Buea Subdivision , A community Characterized by Northerners with a Muslim background. The camp harbors over 120 women both Christians and Muslims(English and French speaking) Living in deplorable conditions.

No electricity supply

No medical facility

The people live on a minimum wage and the camp is characterized by abject poverty .

No toilets, they turn to use the bushes, no sanity pads.

Hence prostitution is what the young girls in this camp turn to as away to meetup(take care of the basic/daily needs), So AMSA together with the partnering NGO distributed soaps, towels, buckets, Bags of rice shared amongst them, clothes shared to the men. A very educative and sensitizing talk given to the community on good Hygiene, menstrual Hygiene was given by Members of AMSA.
